Lingard “I want to bring Pogba to the K-League”… but Pogba awaits a love call for the ‘big five European league teams.’

ESPN, which specializes in sports, reported on the 19th (Korea Standard Time) that “Pogba, who will become a free agent (FA) player next month, is waiting for proposals from the five major European leagues.”

According to the media, Pogba is attracting attention from Saudi Arabian league clubs along with LA FC and Inter Miami of the U.S. Major League Soccer (MLS).

Since Pogba is considering re-employment only in the five major European leagues, the possibility of going to the K-League, which was held in case, seems to be closed.

Last month, FC Seoul’s “signal foreign player” Lingard mentioned Pogba when asked which player he would like to bring to the K-League from Hana Bank’s K-League 1 2024 final round media day. The two players once played for Manchester United in the English Premier League (EPL).

On the 15th, Juventus said, “We mutually agreed with Pogba to end the contract on the 30th.”

Pogba was under contract until June 2025, but the period was over half a year earlier.

Pogba wanted to continue his career at Juventus. Italian media La Gazeta-Dello Sport recently reported, “Pogba wants to stay at Juventus. I’m ready to cut my salary,” but Juventus had a different opinion. He thought it was impossible to accompany him, who had been reduced to a glassy body and had doping problems.

Pogba was once regarded as a top prospect. A native of Manchester United, he has grown into a player who gained attention after moving to Juventus through a free agent in 2012. He then returned to Manchester United from Juventus in 2016 for a world record fee.

However, Pogba did not perform properly at Manchester United. He was criticized for his below-expectations performance and frequent injuries. After that, his contract expired in June 2022, he became free and moved back to Juventus. He predicted a spectacular revival, but contrary to his wishes, he played in only four games in the 2022-2023 season due to injuries. All were substitution efforts, and his total playing time was only 108 minutes.

Pogba, who tested positive for testosterone, was suspended for four years. However, Pogba said, “I was informed of the World Anti-Doping Agency’s ruling. I think the ruling is wrong. I am sad and shocked that everything I have accumulated has been taken away. I have never intentionally violated doping rules,” adding, “I have never tried to increase my performance by using prohibited drugs. I have never deceived my colleagues and supporters. I will appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport 바로벳.” Pogba’s appeal was a success. The punishment has been shortened to 18 months.

“Pogba has become a free agent. I ended my contract by mutual agreement with Juventus,” Italian soccer expert Fabrizio Romano said. “Pogba (who was disciplined for 18 months) can start playing in March next year (when his punishment is lifted).”

Pogba is looking for his next destination while living at Manchester United for a while.

“Pogba, whose contract with Juventus will officially end, is expected to start training at Manchester United’s facility in March next year. He will stay here until he finds a new club,” British media Bisacker reported on the 17th.
