The Folsom Street Fair is like nothing else in the world. Located on Folsom Street in between 7th and 12th Streets, this fair brings nearly 400,000 people from all over to enjoy 13 city blocks of adult entertainment. Folsom Street Fair has over 200 exhibitor booths selling fetish gear and toys, a huge stage with live performances from popular indie bands, two huge dance areas spinning underground dance, public play stations and erotic artists areas. Folsom Street Fair will be held on Sunday, September 29th, 2013 from 11am to 6:30pm.

This year, Folsom Street Fair will be celebrating its 30th anniversary! In honor if this epic milestone, they’re adding 30 extra minutes of fair time, a performance stage at the erotic artists’ area, elevated cage dancers, and a super awesome Folsom Street Fair closing party!

Folsom Street Events gives more details about this year’s "enhancements" in their recent press release:

April 30, 2013 — Folsom Street Events, the Bay Area-based nonprofit group that creates the world’s biggest and most notorious leather and fetish events, has announced an array of enhancements to its existing events in honor of its upcoming 30th Folsom Street Fair®. Among the upgrades to the fair itself are 30 additional minutes of fair time (so that the fair will end at 6:30pm instead of the traditional 6:00pm). In addition, the erotic artists’ area will celebrate by relocating to 8th Street north of Folsom in a new configuration and adding a small performance art stage. The iconic, elevated steel cage dancers will make a return as well. And, of course, big name artists will headline on the main stage and in the dance areas.

According to Demetri Moshoyannis, Executive Director, "We have so many fun fair additions and improvements this year! We are making everything bigger and better, and we’re even bringing back some cherished traditions, like the cage dancers." He added, "We are planning other events as well, such as a film night with Frameline at The Roxie Theater that will showcase special edits and outtakes from the upcoming Folsom Street Fair documentary. That event will be free and open to the general public on a first come, first served basis."

For the first time since its debut, reprints of the iconic "Leather Last Supper" poster from 2007 will be made available for sale starting in the middle of May. Only 100 of these limited edition posters will be sold individually at the retail price of $50.00. In addition, Folsom Street Events is compiling an historical poster package with six prints including the original poster from 1984 ("Megahood") for the sale price of $100.00. Other one-time Folsom Street Events projects include a Tumblr site where fairgoers can post stories, images and videos to be selected as one of 30 official stories of Folsom Street Fair as well as a time-lapse video of Folsom Street Fair, shot from various angles.
