Pink Triangle: Installation & Commemoration Ceremony

Saturday, June 28, 2014, 10:30am at the Top of Twin Peaks, Installation from 7 am - 10am and Commemoration Ceremony at 10:30 am with elected officials and grand marshals

The Pink Triangle, organized every year by Patrick Carney, has been installed for each Pride weekend since 1996 as a visible yet mute reminder of man’s inhumanity to man.  This will be the 19th Pink Triangle display. The community has embraced the pink triangle as a symbol of pride, though it was once used in an attempt to label and shame. We must remind people of the hatred of the past to help educate others so that what happened in the Holocaust won’t be forgotten and won’t be repeated.

Many hardworking volunteers make the display possible every year by climbing the hill and installing over 175 bright pink canvasses and thousands of steel spikes.  It can be seen for 20 miles. More information:
