If you are visiting the Castro and looking for a charming bed and breakfast in the heart of our neighborhood, then we have the perfect recommendation. Beautifully restored architecture and a warm aesthetic that maintains the San Francisco charm (amongst a myriad of other amenities and offerings) makes the Parker Guest House the perfect place to stay when visiting the Castro.

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable while being inviting and attentive, just the way I like it. The Parker has plenty of modern upgrades that make the guest house feel luxurious but not stuffy. If you're like me you want to experience the city in something other than a cookie cutter hotel. There is none of that here. At the Parker you feel instantly at home. There is a real feeling of luxury and comfort. In fact, I kept having the urge to take off my shoes and make myself at home in the shaded community garden, by the fireplace, and even in the parlor near the piano. It's just that inviting at the Parker. This is a feeling I don't have when staying in a downtown hotel. In fact, after my visit to the Parker I am not sure how I will be able to stay anywhere, or recommend lodging to any of my out of town guests for that matter. The Parker Guest House is the best place to stay for a vacationing gay couple or a family from the mid west.

The Parker Guest House has 21 rooms located in the heart of San Francisco's gay Castro District. Being close to restaurants, nightlife, and public transportation a stay at the Parker allows for easy access to all that San Francisco (and the Castro) has to offer. If you have a little bit too much while out and about in the Castro, being so close to it all you can simply stumble your way home from any Castro haunt. Like I said, the Parker is perfect for it all.

The rooms are plush offering King and Queens Beds while being roomy and tranquil. All rooms have television and internet access as well. Many of the rooms have views of the beautifully landscaped garden.

The property enjoys high ratings from OUT&ABOUT, Damron and Spartacus Guides. Rates include breakfast, wine social, and use of the public rooms, gardens and steam room; an ideal place to stay for both leisure and business travellers.

At the Parker you will feel at home, while in the whimsy of the Castro District in San Francisco. Having access to the entire city, it is the perfect place for gay couples, and families will feel right at home too. A tranquil retreat and great place to relax you won't want to leave, I know I didn't.
