Fountaingrove Lodge, the nation’s first lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) retirement community to offer resort living and continuing care services, is set to open in November!
Designed and constructed by award-winning developer Oakmont Senior Living, the 10-acre campus will surely be the crème de la crème of retirement communities. Others have proposed similar full-service LGBT retirement communities, but Fountaingrove Lodge will be the first in the nation to be built.
"Fountaingrove Lodge is 5-star, upscale resort living for the retired LGBT community. We give you the peace of mind that you’re being taken care of while you live in luxury," said Joseph Sarto, Executive Director at Fountaingrove Lodge.
Fountaingrove Lodge is located in Santa Rosa, just north of San Francisco, an area well known for its contributions to the LGBT community. Offering gorgeous living spaces (64 apartment homes ranging 833-2000 square feet), amazing resort amenities, and many healthcare options and services, Fountaingrove Lodge is the first of its kind for LGBT seniors to enjoy a meaningful retirement. And it’s not just for the LGBT crowd, either! "Everyone is welcome at Fountaingrove Lodge — we always support our allies," said Sarto.
The countless amenities and exciting things to do will leave you speechless! Residents can take a stroll through the orchard, meet for a glass of wine in the wine cave, or enjoy gourmet meals prepared by executive chef Adam Hrebiniack (former chef of Boulevard Café in Daly City) in the formal indoor and outdoor dining rooms. Other amenities include (but are not limited to) a movie theater, beauty salon, a bar called the "Tavern," an art studio and woodshop and a golf course.
The life at Fountaingrove Lodge is so luxurious, even the staff doesn’t want to leave. "We all want to be living here too! That’s the best part," said Sarto.
Aside from the wonderful activities you can experience at Fountaingrove Lodge, the experience that is the most special is the connection with the community. You will make great friends and have endless support and love at Fountaingrove Lodge. "The residents are the inspiring elements in what our community is all about," said Sarto. "We are honored and excited to be part of the first LGBT retirement community."
