Here we go Castro San Francisco with the latest crusade for equality. It was legalized discrimination — not to mention an abuse of the Constitution for political purposes. My vote against it — which some predicted would cost me reelection in 1996 — is among my proudest votes as a United States Senator. But my job in 2011 isn't to feel good about my vote — or to boast that fifteen years later, I'm vindicated when at last an American President now agrees that DOMA is unconstitutional. No, my job — and our job together — is to work to undo the damage that DOMA has done in treating loving, committed couples like second class citizens. Now that is music to our ears in the heart of gay San Francisco.

My Castro San Francisco urges you to keep an eye out for the latest in this repeal. We know the impact of DOMA: every day, Americans are denied access to more than 1,100 federal benefits, including Social Security and numerous tax benefits — benefits that are derived from marriage and are available to every opposite-sex married couple. Benefits that we here in Castro San Francisco deserve.

Check this story out My Castro San Francisco readers. A shop teacher who mocked Florida gay student Luke Herbert (pictured) will publicly apologize as part of a settlement between the Flagler County School District and the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida. An apology that will be met under close scrutiny thinks Castro San Francisco residents.

The Palm Coast, Fla., freshman was told he couldn't keep his soda in the same refrigerator as other students or they'd turn out gay. An outrage that sickens most of is in gay San Francisco. Herbert, 15, said he and his mother complained to school officials several times about the teacher, but no one took the complaints seriously. Do you remember any horrible teachers like that Castro San Francisco?

News for all Castro San Francisco residents. Is it possible that we here in the Castro could obtain insurance if our partner becomes unemployed? Newly proposed legislation by two Democratic legislators would ensure that LGBT Americans are covered by COBRA insurance benefits if their partner becomes unemployed, reports The Washington Blade. A report that Castro San Francisco warmly welcomes.

Rep. Anthony Weiner of New York introduced legislation, called the Equal Access to COBRA Act, in the House on Thursday, while Sen. Barbara Boxer of California introduced it in the Senate. Gay supporters like Boxer are rooted on my Castro San Francisco residents. Boxer had introduced the legislation in 2010 as well.

Castro residents and MyCastro.com fans have seen it all. But not this. An Ohio priest who was arrested for driving under the influence pleaded not guilty in court Friday to DUI charges after he was caught on tape offering the arresting offers oral sex if they'd let him go. The Castro District couldn’t be more offended by this priests action.

It's the third OVI (operating a vehicle while intoxicated)/DUI arrest for Father Ignatius Kury since 2004. In the video (posted below), he’s caught threatening the officers, offering them blow jobs, and asking if they want him to be some sort of "sexual slave."
