Set the champagne to 'chill' and get the glitter guns ready!

All the hustle and bustle of the holiday season comes to a close with the mother of all parties: New Year's Eve. And of course the Castro has more than enough shindigs for you to pick and choose from as you plan to end 2014 on a good foot. (Or a "bad" foot, whatever fits your fancy.)

For dancing: How doesn't want to get their dance on to kick off the New Year?? (Okay, not everybody wants to be out dancing. That's what the rest of this list is for.) But for all of you that can't resist shaking a tail feather this December 31st, your favorite spots will have you covered. Your usual Wednesday night go-tos will still be in full swing, with "Bromance" at Beaux and "Booty Call" with Juanita More! at QBar. Your skills on the dance floor could win you some NYE goodies at "So You Think You Can GoGo?" taking place at Toad Hall

For a good show: Maybe you aren't looking for packed clubs full of rowdy crowds of sweaty bodies, maybe you want to kick back and be entertained? Brava Theater hosts its annual NYE "Comedy Fiesta" while Midnight Sun will be screening vintage videos until all hours. Or, if you want to get super classy, hop over to the TL to check out Tony Award-winner John Lloyd Young of "Jersey Boys" fame at Feinstein's at the Nikko.

For game night: If a competitive spirit and a few prizes to boot are how you want to ring in 2015, then you're in luck, because there are Castro hubs to fit your fancy. Harvey's has its weekly trivia night with prizes, hosted by the delightful BeBe Sweetbriar. HiTops will have "Bottoms Up Bingo" complete with board games, prizes and the usual drink specials. And while we're on the subject of drinks...

For a post-fireworks cocktail: So maybe you aren't looking for an all-out blowout New Year's Eve. You want to take advantage of one the Castro scene's many drink specials , but all you want to do is watch fireworks downtown and then grab an after hours beverage. Then 440 is the spot for you. Buy a drink 12pm-2am and get a wooden nickel good for a freebie afterwards.

Final tip: Check back in to MyCastro's "Nightlife" section this week for more New Year's Eve events.
