Strap on your Disney shoes people (we know you have a pair) — Castro Theatre has done it again. This historic Castro District landmark is indulging us in yet another amazing Disney sing-along treat: Beauty and the Beast.

Beginning Wednesday, March 27th through Friday, April 5th, you will have the chance to watch this Disney classic while showing off your amazing (or not-so-amazing) vocal range. And don’t worry if you don’t know all the words, your favorite Castro Street theatre has got you covered: These showings have been customized with on-screen lyrics! Your fabulous hosts Laurie Bushman and Sara Moore will be there to introduce each performance and help you warm up those vocal chords.

“The sing-along at the Castro makes me feel like a kid all over again. Sing at the top of your lungs with a room full of people doing the same (some people actually recite every line of the movie — I've heard it!) It is also encouraged that you dress up as your favorite character — there's a costume contest before the showing. It's super fun,” says Yelper Sylvia K., from San Jose, CA.

Not only will you get to unleash your inner Disney prince or princess, but you’ll also receive a goody bag filled with souvenirs and party favors. “[The goody bags] vary from movie to movie. In this case: a paper rose, hand mirror, bubbles, spoon, glow stick, party popper, and a customized book mark for a souvenir. You'll have to show up to find out how they are used!” said Eric, a staff member at the Castro Theatre.

This is the first ever showing of Beauty and the Beast at Castro Theatre — and the staff is very excited. These sing-alongs are pretty popular in Gay San Francisco, so be sure to get there 30 minutes before showtime so you can soak in every moment!

Who will you dress up as? Belle? Gaston? Mrs. Potts?
