It is no big secret--no secret at all, really--that MyCastro is a gi-huge-ic fan of the art that gets displayed at Glama-Rama.
The Valencia Street salon-mashed-into-an-art gallery showcases some of our favorite modern art--surely you saw our blog post about the perfectly pop "Hardly Working" exhibit that made its debut back in November.
Now we are over the moon to hear that danyol, local collage-ist and painter of all things bright, will be gracing Glama-Rama's walls this January. The new show, "It's Only Rock & Roll, But I Like It" promises to be another stellar exhibition from the Orange-County-born artist.
This latest incarnation? An account inspired by his childhood, "where much time was spent playing dress up with stuffed animals in his mother's closet while listening to his sister's record collection."
And if that isn't the opening of "Almost Famous" with a Castro-worthy twist, nothing is.
The new show "It's Only Rock & Roll, But I Like It" will be featured at Glama-Rama from January 6-February 15. The opening reception for the exhibit will take place on Friday, January 9 from 6pm-9pm.
